My grandpa turns 90 tomorrow (05/21). He is one of the most selfless people I know. He was a farmer his whole life. He has seen multiple wars, lived/survived the Great Depression, he married my grandma and together they have 5 children, & one of them is my dad. They also have 12 grand kids.
My grandpa has worked hard all his life, like the lyrics in a song go "Well I grew up in one of them old farm towns, Where they hit it hard till the sun goes down, nobody really seemed to care that, we were living in the middle of know where, just figured that's how it was, and everyone else was just like us, soaking in the rain, baking in the sun, don't quit till the job get done".
My grandpa is someone I look up to. He and I always have special talks and he always tells me about when he was growing up and about his life. Sometimes he repeats the same stories but I always enjoy hearing them again. He also loves my dog Bo. My grandpa is one of those people that when you meet him you can't help but love him. He always comments how he's outlived all his friends.
This past weekend the family had a cookout celebrating his birthday and I don't think I saw a smile leave his face all weekend. You could tell he was so happy. So in honor of my amazing grandpa who I look up to so much, I'm going to share some pictures from this past weekend.
