A Memory that will last a Lifetime

Now, as some of you may know, I have had lots of PICC lines. A PICC line is an IV that goes in your upper arm, and the tubing goes inside your vain, and the tubing (inside the vain) goes all the way to your heart. It goes to your heart so the medicine gets inside your body faster. The outside of the PICC line on your upper arm is stiched in. It's very nice for people who have CF, because we can still go on with our daily routines, and we are able to go home on IV's if we have to. They really are very interesting.

Now, I always say that they are a memory that will last a lifetime, because after the IV comes out, you tend to sometimes have scars from the stitches. Now, I have all the scars to prove it, from each and every PICC line i've had.

I love my scars, because they are a memory. They are a memory of the past and the things I've gone through when i've been sick. I will be so happy when they have a cure for CF, and when they have the cure, and I don't have CF anymore, then I can look back at my arms and look at the scars, and remember everything that happened to me up to the point of not having CF. I will be proud of my scars, and I will be thankful for everything I have/had been givin.
