My ULTIMATE Obsessions

I have two obsessions (ask anybody it's true). My first obsession is *John Travolta*. I love all the things he does; from his movies, to being a loving person in the community(s). He is just an amazing person/actor.

My second obsession is Rascal Flatts. I admire them so much, because of their music, and their work in the community(s). Their music is just so amazing. I own every CD they have, and I pretty much know every word the the songs. If i'm having a bad day, I listen to their music, and I start to feel better.

I want to end with a quote from one of Rascal Flatt's songs; "when one door opens to another door closed, I hope you keep on walkin' til' you find the window"

The Road Not Taken

I would like to share one of my favorite poems with you today. This poem is one of my absolute favorites, because of the meaning it has. Whenever I have trouble or anything, I always think of this poem. I hope you enjoy it:

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

What's your Purpose?

I have always thought about what my purpose here on earth is, and i've come to the conclusion that my purpose is to help people. I love doing it, and it's a great feeling knowing that you are making a difference and helping people.
*I want you to think about what you think your purpose is, and try to pursue that purpose, because I believe God put you on this earth for a reason/purpose, and I don't plan on letting him down, and I hope you don't let him down either.

I thought this picture was cute =)

A Memory that will last a Lifetime

Now, as some of you may know, I have had lots of PICC lines. A PICC line is an IV that goes in your upper arm, and the tubing goes inside your vain, and the tubing (inside the vain) goes all the way to your heart. It goes to your heart so the medicine gets inside your body faster. The outside of the PICC line on your upper arm is stiched in. It's very nice for people who have CF, because we can still go on with our daily routines, and we are able to go home on IV's if we have to. They really are very interesting.

Now, I always say that they are a memory that will last a lifetime, because after the IV comes out, you tend to sometimes have scars from the stitches. Now, I have all the scars to prove it, from each and every PICC line i've had.

I love my scars, because they are a memory. They are a memory of the past and the things I've gone through when i've been sick. I will be so happy when they have a cure for CF, and when they have the cure, and I don't have CF anymore, then I can look back at my arms and look at the scars, and remember everything that happened to me up to the point of not having CF. I will be proud of my scars, and I will be thankful for everything I have/had been givin.

You're Gonna Miss This

I love all kinds of music. Mostly late 70's-80's rock, and some country. I have recently been listening to You're Gonna Miss This, and I started thinking, so many people wish their life away, and never just enjoy what they have now, and where they are. All they care about is the future. Now, I think it's great to think about the future, I think about it, but it's also a good thing to remember, that if all you think about is the future, you're gonna miss out on living now. I think that thinking about your future is great, but don't forget what's going on in "the moment".

Remember; "Live each day as if it were your last, because tomorrows never promised"

My Baby

This is my baby "Bo". He is a mini Yorkie. He is 10 months old, and i must say he is my "life". He goes with us almost everywhere. He was a gift and probably the best gift ever. You will probably be seeing lots of pictures of him.

Could it be...CURE????

I was on the phone yesterday with a lady at the Wisconsin Branch CF foundation, and she said that it is almost "sort of" urgent to raise more money, because researchers have found a medicine "drug" that may possibly correct the Cystic Fibrosis gene. Which is great, because that means a cure. Now, this new "drug" is in it's first stages of clinical trials, and needs to be "tweaked" a little more, and the goal is to possibly have the FDA approve it, and "HOPEFULLY" have it out in 3-5 years. I though you would all like to hear it. This is Fantastic. If anyone's interested in possibly helping out, let me know. Have a good day!!!

Finally!!!

Hello, I finally created a blog!!! =) I will try to do a post everyday. The goal for this blog is to have fun, and share different things pertaining to Cystic Fibrosis, and share my story, and try to help someone/somebody in some way. Sometimes I may do a post that has nothing to do with Cystic Fibrosis. I'm an outgoing girl who loves fun, and loves God, my family, and my friends. I hope you enjoy!
