Today is the 4 year anniversary of when I got my baby. It seems like forever and I have no clue what I'd do without him. He is a great therapy dog, and my best furry friend. I love him so much!! I always say he's my baby! So for his "dog-aversary" I got him a fancy new tag with bling, some dog shampoo, and treats. he's not spoiled at all. Love my Mr. BoBo

I just found out that the national CF convention was this past weekend and they had some amazing news. The average life span of someone with CF has raised! From 37 years old to now 41 years old. That's incredible! That shows just how much research is advancing, and gives new hope to all of us. What a great start to the week :)

I notice I haven't posted pictures for a while. I will have to do that soon.
My dog is doing wonderful. He's my baby :) things have been pretty crazy but fun the last few weeks. I am making a goal with myself to become a better blogger. I promise I will start trying to blog more. I can't believe the year is almost half over. I'm excited to see what the other half brings.

Anyways, let me update you all on how things have been going lately. I forgot to update you all on my doctors appointment that I had in January. My PFT's were 95% which is great. Weight was about the same. But I got some bad news...i'm officially, yup Diabetic. We all knew it was coming we just didn't know when. But so far I should be able to control it with diet :) which is great. So now I am trying my hardest to eat 6 meals a day. 3 meals and 3 snacks, and I have to Carb count. I have to try to stay within 60-75 carbs for meals, and 30-45 carbs for snacks. Let me tell you that is no trip. Wow! Somedays if i'm in town running errands, i'll run into Starbucks(for those of you who don't know me, I love starbucks, and have a Gold card-anyways) and just get a small iced, or hot coffee, with a little bit of nonfat milk, and some caramel. Great snack under 45 carbs :) So for the most part I think things are going pretty good.
My gym membership is officially over! and of course, I forgot to renew my membership. It's $35 a month. Not the worst, but I think i'm going to keep it un-renewed until the winter months and try to do some exercises here at home--we'll see. If I can't stay focused it's back to the gym i go. But whenever this crazy snow decides to leave, it's back to running. We have a 1/4 mile uphill driveway so that's a good run, and my grandparents and uncle are just up the road so I can always run there, and my dog will love it also.
So I think that's all that's going on for now. I'm sure i'm missing some stuff, but I promise that i am going to try my hardest to blog more often. Oh, one more thing, it's Walk-A-Thon time.
