This weekend, I went with my confirmation class, and we went on a vacation to visit different churches. Wonderful churches. I have never seen some more beautiful churches in my whole life than I have this weekend. We went go a church(St. James the less). It is a great church. Everything is marble and OH-MY-GOODNESS! i fell in love with this church. I was unable to get pictures of this church, i am dissapointed at this, but we also went to Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, we went to the Diocesan Center Chapel(where we got to meet the Bishop), and we went to St. Joseph's cathedral(where they do ordinations, like if a priest or bishop is getting ordained-i believe that's the correct meaning-this Cathedral is where it's done, where the priests or bishop lays on the floor. Now this post is only because of how much I love the Lord. I pray everyday, and thank God for everything. I am a strong believer, and if it wasn't for him, i don't know what i'd do. So here are some pictures. Enjoy!!
St. Joseph's Cathedral
at the Shrine, this is a place of just candles. You can pay to have a candle lit for 2 weeks, 1 month, or a year.
the back of the Shrine chapel.
The front of the Shrine chapel.(we had a mass)
outside of the shrine(a seperate building from it).
part of the front of the shrine. it's hard to see, but there's 2 big i believe bronze doors and 2 smaller ones. the smaller ones i believe cost $38,000 a piece. WOW. and boy were they heavy.
